Tahoe Lobster Company is the first Commercial Crayfish business permitted to harvest the tasty crustaceans on Lake Tahoe since the 1930's. We are a family owned company, trying to make a huge impact at Lake Tahoe and the surrounding Tahoe Basin. Research has shown that there is a link between the clarity in the near shore environment and the overpopulation of the Signal Crayfish. With proper management , our goal of improving the clarity and beauty of Lake Tahoe, can be reality! The harvested crayfish go directly from our hands to Sierra Gold Seafood, who then distribute to the local casinos and restaurants. All harvest data is shared with the University of Nevada Reno (Dr. Sudeep Chandra) which is utilized for further research to tie improvement in clarity with our harvesting efforts.
